About the Petty Family Foundation

The Petty name is synonymous with grace, achievement and philanthropy.  While it is the winningest surname in NASCAR history, success is far from their only legacy.  After a long day behind the wheel, when the sport was a fledgling series, a Petty man could be seen signing autographs for children who took the time to stand in line.  Many of those children grew up to populate the NASCAR garage as drivers themselves.  During a time when a driver’s wife went largely unseen, a Petty woman was busy helping to start the Women’s Auxiliary of Motorsports.  Without the Petty family it is safe to assume NASCAR would not be quite the sport that it is today.

The Petty Family Foundation will be a way for the entire family to become involved in the work that has continued on with the Victory Junction Gang Camp in Randleman, North Carolina.  The foundation is built on a strong belief in family values, integrity, education and compassion for others.  Its goal will be to enrich the lives of families affected by serious illness and injury through a variety of charitable events and educational programs.

This website will be the place for you to keep up with our schedule of events and news releases that we would love to share with you.  Please check back on a regular basis as we will hold our own online auctions to raise money for our many Petty Family Foundation partners.
